What is social guidance?

This website uses the Llama 2 LLM, fine tuned on 98 public domain social guidance films. Also known as mental hygiene films, they were a genre of educational films made in the 1940s-1970s to instruct people on how to behave. Most were made for children and teens and were shown in schools, so they are sometimes also called classroom films. Common topics included etiquette, civic responsibility, safety, health, and courtesy. Most of these films are now in the public domain and many can be found on Archive.org.
